Michal Pavlíček´s Heart Matters
"A musician life is a crazy, unguided missile.
A Man never knows, how long it flies towards the sky,
when and where it lands and breaks into a dust of oblivion…"
Michal Pavlíček
Michal Pavlíček at the age of fifty-four works a lot. He works at music for a full-length film called “Odcházení” (Leaving), directed by Václav Havel and at music for TV serial stories called “V síti ztraceného času” (In the web of forgotten time), directed by Karel Smyczek aand Martin Dolenský and “Cesty domů” (Ways to home) directed by Jiří Adamec. He performs at concerts and prepares his new three-CD called “Heart Affairs”.
At the same time he has a chronic health problems and wishes to spend more time with his family…
However the main motive of our film document is Michal’s work on a planned unique musical project with Prague Conservatory. What he thinks about his music, what his style of work looks like, how he gets on with students with limited music knowledge…… All these questions create space for a personal confess of a rocker, a composer and a man. The producer is not interested in press stunt information, but in a sensitive view on a gradual birth of a music piece at the border of rock and classical music.
The planned concert of Michal Pavlíček and Prague Conservatory students takes place on 1 December at Dvořák Hall in Rudolfinum from 7:30 in the evening. The first part of the evening will be opened by a concert of Prague Conservatory symphonic orchestra and choir. Music by Leoš Janáček, Aram Chačuturjan and Marios Christo will be performed.
Dvořák Hall in Rudolfinum than will experience for the first time a “rock” concert.
